OUR HISTORY
Top Line Construction was established in 1991 by Rui Castela to serve New Jersey’s construction market. Initially, the company operated primarily as a site concrete subcontractor, with general contractors across the state relying on Top Line to execute concrete work for schools, residential developments, and commercial projects. During this time, the company built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work with reliability and value.
In 1999, Rui’s sons, Steven and Mark Castela, joined the company as owners and officers, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise. Steven, a University of Connecticut graduate with a B.S. in Finance, and Mark, who earned a B.S. in Construction Management from the Wentworth Institute of Technology, combined their academic knowledge with Rui’s extensive industry experience. This collaboration marked the beginning of a transformative era for the company.
Seizing new opportunities, Top Line transitioned from a subcontractor serving commercial clients to a general contractor specializing in public sector projects. Over the past two decades, the company has grown into a full-service road and site construction firm, serving local and county agencies throughout New Jersey. Today, Top Line Construction Corp. specializes in asphalt paving, milling, grading, excavation, underground utilities, and site concrete.
With its dedicated leadership and team, Top Line Construction proudly upholds its legacy of quality and dependability, consistently exceeding the expectations of its commercial and government clients.
